It's Thursday June 12th, day 42 of our 2025 summer adventure. After our walk, we had a leisurely morning at the campground. I found the thistles in bloom along the pond. I find the purple color so very pretty!
On our walk this morning, we saw a deer along the pond. The reflection in the pons was awesome! Too bad, it was quite a ways away!
We headed to Marcia & Larry's around noon. The girls had a shopping day planned and the guys were going to head to the Evansville Wartime Museum. The museum id helping to promote awareness of the Evansville region’s wartime contributions and home front legacy.
While the guys were there, Marcia, Debbie and I hit the stores! Marcia misses shopping with the girls! We hit Shoe Carnival first. We all got a pair of shoes. Naturally, I had to try on the red stiletto heels! But, no buying them for me! I would break an ankle!
The shirt I have on today was a purchase from Camilla’s Closet, the consignment shop we went to yesterday. Wait until you see what else I purchased today!
We went to Molly's Upscale, another consignment shop. My question is what is it about Evansville and leather pants? Every consignment shop we have been in has some?!
Next to Molly's was a cute store, Locally Loved Boutique. There were tons of cute one of a kind items! Marcia found a few things that her daughter Jess could create and she shared it with her. I found the angel wings at the back of the store.
Next we hit Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Sheryl is rubbing off on me... I purchased a dress. Yes, you read that right. I purchased a dress! I actually was looking at two dresses. The dark blue dress with small flowers was the first one I fell in love with, but I only found it in sizes 4, 6, and 8. The other dress was very bright and colorful. I kept telling the girls that Sheryl would love it. I tried it on and showed it to Marcia and she said... keep it for yourself! I loved the way it looked and felt. So, I did!
We heard from the guys and they were heading to Myriad Brewing Company - Newburgh Taproom. So, we finished up our shopping and headed that way too! At Myriad, they brew a wide selection of beers. From their flagship Cream Ale,“812”, to their boldest Double IPA, “Aunt Sissy”, there’s something for everyone. Their Newburgh, Indiana taproom features tons of indoor seating, a large covered patio and a gorgeous outdoor garden. Our friends grabbed a big table indoors for our evening of fun. There were two groups that were having events at the brewery this evening. One was the local Labrador group and a Young Business Professionals group. They did not bother us, at all.
We decided not to cook and ordered pizza from Turoni's Pizzery & Brewery. Turoni's pizza has been made in Evansville for over five decades, yet never before has the recipe been reproduced by commercial establishments. Turoni's shares with you a freshly made pizza crust that is crisp and light enough to hold their secret sauce, gobs of gooey mozzarella cheese, and your favorite ingredients. The flavor and texture makes Turoni's pizza very unique.
Here is a picture of our group! I tried to do a selfie.
Then another customer offered his assistance to take the group shot! Another great day with FRamily!
Stay tuned for more Two Lane Adventures!
