Day 46 & 47 of our 2025 RVing Adventure with Historical & Musical Interludes

Monday June 16th, and Tuesday June 17th, day 46 & 47 of our 2025 summer adventure. I enjoyed a morning walk both days. On Tuesday, Mother Nature threatened rain, but never produced any while I walked. There are a vast number of rabbits in this area! I have seen them everyday on my walks!

On Monday we enjoyed a late lunch at Oaken Barrell. Tracy got off work early to join us. The Oaken Barrell is like ZBC is in Zephyrhills, or like Cheers... "where everyone knows his name..." Craig! LOL

For over 30 years, Oaken Barrel has been Greenwood's hometown hangout for handcrafted brews and good food. Their brewmaster, John, crafts a rotating selection of award-winning ales and lagers, brew on-site with time-honored techniques.

They offered the traditional pub fare, but also had other favorites like fresh salads, stacked burgers, hearty entrees, beer-basted Ribs, and more from their scratch kitchen.

I had a dynamite Shrimp Wrap, Tracy had a Ruben, Charlie & Craig had burgers! Craig and Charlie enjoyed an IPA or two. I had one Raspberry Wheat beer.

The owner of Oaken Barrel Brewing Company is Kwang Casey! Kwang not only supports his community through his business but he gives back to those on the front line. During difficult times, Kwang has delivered meals to numerous local hospitals, nursing homes, local Law Enforcement, and Firefighters! He must be a great boss, because the wait staff we met have worked for him for 20-years and 25-years.

After lunch and a few beers, the guys had a few errands to run. Tracy and I tried shopping, but we were not in the mood. A relaxing pedicure was a much better choice!

Monday night we enjoyed a quiet evening on the back patio. We met Craig's nephew, Jeff.

Tuesday was a "household chores" day. We enjoyed some quiet time on the back patio. Got the laundry caught up and a few things picked up. Since it's Tuesday, we had our own "Taco Tuesday" for our late lunch!

Tuesday is Craig and Tracy's golf day. So, Craig left around 3pm and Tracy went straight from work!

We were "charged" with feeding Sadie. She is an easy one to tend to!

Wen they get back, we might be able to have the fire that has eluded us every night that we have been here!

Tomorrow we travel further east! Stay tuned for more Two Lane Adventures!
