Day Sixteen - A Summer of Bluegrass, Camping and Friends - Monday 5/13/2024

We arrived yesterday afternoon and enjoyed a lunch of  BLT sandwiches! We just chilled and visited with our friends, Bob & Tammy.

They have a beautiful home at the end of a road with about 5 acres! They have a 50 amp hook up at the barn, where they store their RV and all of their extra vehicles! The driveway is concrete, so leveling was a breeze!

Sunday night, we enjoyed Bob's grilling skills with a meal on the back patio!

Monday morning, Tammy joined me for my morning walk! She even did all 4-miles with me!
She had to work for a few hours. So, Bob, Charlie & I had a leisurely morning and met Tammy for lunch at the Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum.

Keystone Antique Truck and Tractor Museum encompasses more than 125,000 square feet of an old manufacturing plant, it is no ordinary museum. Experience the last century of agricultural heritage incorporating fully restored antique farm tractors, ongoing restoration projects and other farm related equipment. Keystone offers you a time warp of antique road trucks, classic cars, vintage gas pumps, oil cans, automotive signage, clocks, advertising posters of yesteryear and much more! Bob is personal friends with the owner of the museum, but we did not tour it.

We all enjoyed hugggggge cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings!

Outside, Charlie and I had Tammy take our picture at the LOVE sign. #loveVA
I will talk more about the significance in a later blog.

Tammy and I ran to Walmart and the guys headed home. We are so blessed with wonderful friends! We are having a BBQ tonight with several couples, from all over VA,  coming to see us!

It was great to see Ben & Pam, Keith & Tammi, Jay & Carol, Walter & Judy and Mike & Kathy! We have not seen a few of these folks in a year. Others we last saw in January. It was humbling to see so many people that wanted to spend time with us while we were in Virginia!

All of these friends, we met as a result of Yankee RV Tours. When you see the cars in the driveway, you can tell!

Tomorrow, we head further north on our #TwoLaneAdventures

Stay tuned!
